    • General Introduction

    HRESYS HESS Series Home Energy Storage System is a highly integrated energy management system aiming on providing a smart PV+ESS solution for home use. HESS Series has utilized high performance and high safety Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery plus reliable and high efficient Battery Management System (BMS) to achieve a long cycle life application. With integration of intelligent Power Conversion System (PCS), the system can realize switching between Off/On-grid modes smoothly and automatically, and it can be used for multiple complicated environment to provide an ideal solution for improving energy utilization efficiency and to be well used to cope with applications like PV self-consumption, energy time-shifting, emergency power backup, etc.


    By absorbing the power from sun radiation, PV panels may generate DC power. DC power may then be inverted by PCS to AC power to supply the AC loads, and the residual power may be used to charge the battery bank. In case there are still excessive power available, it may also be fed-in grid. In order to reduce the user’s energy cost, the HESS can also be set for energy time-shifting according to the peak/off-peak hours

    System Power and Energy can be configured according to customer’s real need by combining more battery modules and inverters. Except for PV smoothing, PV self-consumption improvement and energy time-shifting, HESS can also be used as a backup power to ensure a smooth and reliable power supply for home use.


    Through the Web Applications provided by HRESYS, users or system operators may monitor the HESS operation status and may be guided to do the maintenance according to the analysis of the data gathered by the Applications. The Applications may also notify the system operators the system failures or potential failures and the operators may take actions on maintenance and repair without initial requesting by users.


    • System Benefits and Advantages

    1. Highly integrated system comprises of PV, inverter/controller and battery bank to facilitate PV power self-consumption,

    and the excessive power can then be fed into grid.

    2. Advanced battery management system – when there is a power outage, the system can quickly and smoothly disconnect

    to the grid to ensure power supply safety and reliability, and the PV on-grid output power can be configured.

    3.The priority of power supply resources to the loads can be configured, for example, can be set to PV > battery bank > Grid,

    but if the battery capacity is lower than setting value, the system can then automatically configure the priority of using PV

    power and Grid power.

    4. Integrated BMS system can gather battery cell real-time data to ensure the battery cells’ safety and to maximize the

    utilization of battery.

    5. Unique and high reliability electrical and structural design by using vertical installation of battery cells to enhance the

    stability of battery.
